The top 100 girl names of 2025 were given to 506,210 babies — about 31.5% of all girls named that year(up from 31.0% in 2024). Of the names that ranked in both years, 44 climbed, 56 fell, and 5 held steady.
The 10 most popular girl names of 2025 were Olivia, Charlotte, Emma, Amelia, Sophia, Mia, Isabella, Evelyn, Sofia, and Eliana.
The biggest rising trend was Ailany, which jumped 87 spots from #101 to #14. The biggest fall belonged to Athena, which slid 19 places from #90 to #109. By raw birth count, Ailany picked up the most babies (+174.9%), while Olivia lost the most (-8.0%).
Ailany, Sienna, Amara, Georgia, and Juniper broke into the top 100 for the first time, while Athena, Aaliyah, Anna, Allison, and Hailey fell out of the rankings.
Olivia held the #1 girl name spot in 2025 — its 7th straight year at #1, a streak that began in 2019.
